Governance

Trust Music was born from a belief in the power of music to transform the lives of young people.

Founded in 2014 by Carolyn Baxendale, John Summers, Rob Tinniswood & Patricia Tremayne, the Charity set about providing practical and financial support for music projects which raise aspirations and enable young people to fulfill their potential. Since our inception we have developed strategic partnerships, working closely with our supporters, to develop the case for continued investment in music education.

The Board of Trustees has grown substantially and now comprises a highly experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated team with a broad range of backgrounds who work together to bring further success to the Charity.

Our Safeguarding Commitment.

We are dedicated to protecting all children, young people and adults participating in Trust Music programmes and activities, and our safeguarding commitment to them is built on the following principles:

That safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We recognise our duty to safeguard the people we work with, and we understand that working in partnership with other organisations, such as Bolton Music Service, all children and their families, accessing our support, must feel safe and confident in our duty to safeguard them.
That the safety and welfare of the people we work with is, and must always be, the paramount consideration.
That all children and young people, regardless of their background, have the right to be protected from abuse, exploitation or harm.
That all safeguarding concerns and allegations of abuse must be taken seriously, reported, and responded to appropriately.
