Bolton Youth Orchestra celebrated its 75th birthday in 2018. Since its formation in 1943 music education has grown and blossomed in the town. More youth bands, choirs and orchestras were then established, all coming together as ensembles of Bolton Music Centre; a branch of the newly established Bolton Music Service in the early 1980s. We know that since those days in 1943 and right up to the present day, there are thousands of people who have been pupils of Bolton Music Service

Trust Music is the partner charity of Bolton Music Service. Together we are working to establish an association of Alumni to share memories, reconnect with old friends, share photos, and hear about “where you are now”.

In these challenging times we hope to create a community for you to dip in and out of as you wish. We would also hope that our Alumni can spread the word about the brilliant work Bolton Music Service and Trust Music carry out for the town’s young musicians.
